Bloody Rondo & Imperial Code

This is a follow up to my assault post.

The friday group did Bloody Rondo last night and Imperial Code!!! All right go team!!!

Imperial Code was way easy and I think would be a good one for points for a trio and some quick experience points/limit points. Basically there are either Formor Ninja, called Kusa(True Sight), or Ghosts (have a Doom move) in the assault, along with three ninja NM's. You only have to kill the ninja NM's to win the assault but since the Kusa are ture sight you end up killing some of them anyway. Good drops from this assault are Omicron Ring and Phi Necklace.

The other assault we did last night was the Bloody Rondo - this was a very fun/challenging fight.
This will take you most of the 30mins allotted time and its a good idea to bring some food also.
Basic thing here is kill Dracula!!

Now what makes this one tough is a few things:
  1. AoE knockback stun move for everyone in range (did 300+ damage to me everytime)
  2. AoE Drain move (took over 200 every time)
  3. Doppelganger copy of whoever has hate
  4. Directional Charm (Nocturnal Servitude) which can leave you with two or three people charmed and maybe with shadows up =/
  5. Gaze effect Doom ( Eternal Damnation) - which means backwards tanking

With that information we decided that Rathiel (NIN) would backwards tank Dracula - note (DO NOT TANK WITH STUN KATANA's) we learned that from the very first copy as I was stunned allllllloooooottttttt =(
Doppelganger

The copy that Dracula makes of the tank seems to be equal in gear but not HP(low) or skill..... the skill is a rough one cause me with evasion 301 and evasion gear on he missed me only a handful of times with while Rathiel was using staff (skill 115...), ohhhh and it seems that the copy has TP regen also..... When the Copy comes out take it away quick as possible from the melee group as Dracula might do the drain move making the tanking of the copy really hard. We did me (THF) and Elliedra (BLM) on the copy, while everyone else stayed on Dracula. This worked like a charm - speaking of which he only charmed one time on the second attempt as opposed to spamming it during the first. Things got a little rough around 15% I ended up using perfect dodge on one of the Doppleganger to let the mages concentrate on Rathiel, in the end we won!! Thank you Nyena, Rathiel, Carthoris, Elliedra, and Zaphod.

Assault

If you have read this blog before you know that we are doing the Nyzul Isle assault with Ennayram every Tuesday. We have also started up doing assaults with Zaphod and Elliedra every Friday to finish up the wins needed and get some much needed points for more Salvage fun!

Last night I finally decided to compile my list of needed wins:
  • Leujaoam Sanctum - Imperial Code (CS)
  • LeuJaoam Sanctum - Bloody Rondo (FL)
  • Mamool Ja Training Grounds - The Susanoo Shuffle (FL)
  • Lebros Cavern - Egg Conservation (CS)
  • Lebros Cavern - Operation: Black Pearl (SL)
  • Lebros Cavern - Better than One (FL)
  • Periqia - Operation: Snake Eyes (CS)
  • Periqia - The Price is Right (FL)
  • Ilrusi Atoll - Lost and Found (SM)
  • Ilrusi Atoll - Desperatly Seeking Cephslopods (SL)
  • Ilrusi Atoll - Bellerophon's Bliss (FL)
That is 11 total which is not bad if we can have at least three tags ready on friday we might be able to finish this up in a month. That goal is dependent of course on how we do with these....

Black Mage Merits

Thursday burn sessions have been fun and productive. I am hoping to continue this thursday burning until my merits are done on BLM at least.... maybe finish up my unloved RDM also.

Anyway I wanted to put up my BLM merits needed to finish them up and they are as follows.

  • Elemental magic skill: 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 - 3 = 18
  • Ice potency: 4 - 5 = 9
  • Thunder potency: 4 - 5 = 9
  • Freeze II: 4 - 5 = 9
  • Burst II: 4 - 5 = 9
That has a total of 54 total merits to finish up everything BLM related, I have been getting about 6 merits per week so that will be 9 weeks. Then I will just need to get a few more BLM items to really maximize the job.
I don't know what I want to do next after all the merits are finished but I am sure I will find something.
I think I need to post up some salvage stuff we have been doing and some assault stuff also.

Black Mage

So I really suck at updating this thing!!

I have been doing the Nyzul assault still - salvage - we were doing Limbus until recently and as always still doing Dynamis with Soymilk.

I guess this was supposed to be about BLM so here it is I finally reached level 75 and starting meriting with on BLM. I have to thank Erebus for duoing with me for such a long time on thursday's.
Erebus thank you /bow

So the same day I reached 75 I also spent my first merits on BLM which you will see below ^^

I plan on finishing up ice and thunder potency to level 5 and taking freeze II to level 3 and burst II to level 2 and I am thinking maybe torando II just for Kirin fun.

Since these first ones I have added level 2 for ice and thunder and also started elemental magic skill which is also level 2 now.

I am hoping BLM will be a nice addition for any events (Salvage, Limbus, Dynamis, etc...) and I am hoping I can get a burn crew together for the ISNM that drops the Khroma ore. I would like to start saving for those Salvage body pieces.

Anyway I will try and update this again sometime this month maybe with some THF or RDM stuff I have been doing...or maybe just some assault or salvage craziness.

BLM - PLD - confused

Just some /random skill ups that I got in the last week.

Parrying

This one was in Limbus - which is always fun. Still hoping for some Homam body and Homam pants to finish up the set. I have heard of leveling Parrying on Chigoe outside of Nashmau - I might try that one day when I am bored on RDM/WAR see how it goes.

Staff Skill

I have been wanting to tank some on my PLD with staff - lack of skill has prevented me from attempting this though. So I have decided to try and get my staff at least to a respectable level - Spent some time in Crawlers nest with Nyena one day - some more solo and then even some more time with Bubbo the {Monk}ey. I have gone from 103 - 146 very noticeable difference in Accuracy and damage.

BLM level 70!!!

Still leveling with Erebus on Thursday's and reached level 70 this past week and currently I am sitting at 1k ~~> 71. We moved camp to the underseas ruins on .... you guessed it more Qiqirn =P.
They are fun to kill, being the range attack only type enemy, with low HP. The range attack hit for around 100 per shot, which isn't bad and allows you to at least get one drain per kill. Throw a stun in there once a battle also just to try and keep your skill up, go go Dark magic skill!!!

The other thing I noticed that I love about this area is the double water weather all the time >.> with my level I also found water IV ^^ This one spell in this area made a huge difference on our kill time

The damage difference with Water IV is very noticeable and the xp is still very good Duo at level 70. I guess we will see about level 71....I hope it stays good /crosses fingers.

Nyzul Isle

So for the last two weeks we have done the Nyzul Isle assault on Tuesday evening.

Week one ended with us finishing up to floor 10 - the furthest I have been on this assault.

The party for this was setup by Ennayram(BST) and includes Nyena(RDM), Bubbo(MNK), Loren(PLD) and was supposed to be Azurea(BRD) - last night we had a stand in Belan(BLU) who did a nice job with healing/buffing us.

This week's goal was to get to floor 20...we did just that! We started on floor 11 and got to floor 15 with our first tag, leaving three more tags to reach floor 20. With each tag we actually got to floor 20 and beat the boss 2x the third time we only had about 1min left upon reaching the floor so no attempt.

First time to floor 20 we ended up with Fafnir

Second time we had Fafnir also but no time to finish >.<; Third time we got Behemoth

For our efforts we were rewarded with two wonderful pieces of armor:

1. Goliard clogs

2. Askar gamberias

I don't think we could've asked for a better start to this static assault team. Thank you!!

Jailer of Fortitude

This Jailer hates us soooooooo much!!!

We went 0/3 again on this thing /stare

- How I hate thee Jailer of Fortitude!!!

It was three very clean fights - I think only two deaths from the BLM's, but what would you expect =P maybe just maybe next time we will be lucky and get a freaking torque to drop. I am very sad for our PLD, they so deserve some drops.
